The
Museum Created by the municipality in 1911, the Museum is installed since 1928 in the old convent of Augustins, whose construction goes up at the beginning of the XVII 3rd century. Its constructions are ordered around two major axes: the section of Flemish ethnology and the section of the Art schools. Four giants of procession accomodate the visitors: Roland Tisje-Tasje, Toria and Babe Tisje.Ils incarnent a tradition whose origin is at the Means - Age, and who still remains very long-lived today in Belgium and in the North of France. A decorated Flemish kitchen of many objects, and a room reserved for the popular traditions and the local history supplement this Flemish unit. |
