		The Festival of Hop It celebrates the tradition of the culture of the Hop which was still particularly widespread in Flanders until the middle of the Eighties. A great Hop contest is organized to reward and encourage those which perpetuate the tradition of Hop with Steenvoorde. The Festival of Hop always proceeds the 1st weekend of October and begins Saturdays by the traditional evening from the Hop which often accomodates a large high-speed motorboat of spectacle and continues Sunday with the annual stock sale and the procession, mixes musical and folk groups.
To the national museum of hop of Poperinge, some 300 tools, panels and photographs invite you to discover the cycle of activities of the hop-growing culture through the 4 seasons, along a didactic circuit. Opened Sunday and public holidays in May, June and September; tous.les.jours in July and August of 14. 30 at 17. 30.
